The high costs of repairing an Apple i-device

Apple charges $300 to fix a $400 smartwatch, or $150 if you invest in Apple Care. This is similar to fees to fix a cracked iPhone, but on a percentage basis, way smaller. Getting the iPhone 8 screen fixed is the best bargain around at $149.
